Medicaid Immigrant Data
Partnership HealthPlan of California is aware of recent reports that Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) may have shared personal information, including documentation status, about Medi-Cal members with Department of Homeland Security or Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The claims have not been verified, but we are closely monitoring the situation. Partnership wants our members to know their rights and that we are committed to protecting your privacy, safety, and access to care.
We know this can be a complicated and scary time, but we want you to know that Partnership values all our members and is here to help.
You Should Know:
- Medi-Cal is still available to everyone who is eligible, despite immigration status.
- You should still seek medical care and may be able to access virtual services if you are not comfortable leaving home. These services include our advice nurse line and telehealth services.
- Telehealth visits are a covered Medi-Cal service for Partnership members, but not all providers offer telehealth services. We recommend calling your doctor to find out if you can access telehealth care. Your doctor's phone number is found on the front of your Partnership ID card. You can also call our Member Services Department to learn more about your telehealth options. Call (800) 863-4155 Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- If you are experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression, call or text CalHOPE for free mental health assistance and to connect with local resources at (833) 317-4673.
- You can ask your primary care provider to refer you to mental and behavioral health services. They will connect you with licensed mental health experts who understands what you are going through and will maintain your privacy.
